As a long-term acupuncture patient of more than 14 years I have had some not so great results and a few very excellent ones. Martina is among those I rank highest of the few.

A very personable and caring doctor who REALLY gets results. Her skills and expertise cleared my lungs of viscous mucosa lodged there for years. She has alleviated the stiffness and pain in my fingers and I can now hold a pen though my penmanship is sketchy.

The other subject is a bit too personal to write about but she has attained positive results

What a delight to be her patient. I only wish she had a practice near my home in California.

Thank you, Martina!

I came onboard with severe arthritis in both knees. As I’d had great pain in my left knee a feed weeks before I left, I did many things to improve this. Pain was mostly alleviated but I still walked with difficulty, my leg was stiff and I couldn’t bend my knee, I also wore a knee brace or compression bandage support. My doctor made sure I had many of supplies of anti- inflammatory and pain killers!

I was dubious at first to embark in a daily dose of acupuncture, but Martina and I quickly developed a close bond and I have to say that for most of the trip (18 days) I have not worn my knee support and found I didn’t need to take any drugs. The part I love the most is that I now don’t walk with a limp either! If I ever find that I am, it is very slight.

Thank you, Martina.

I have been so fortunate to have tried acupuncture on this cruise after nearly 6 month of ongoing muscle pain following a fall. I have bulging discs, stenosis, osteoarthritis everywhere – hips, knees, feet, back, neck, etc. I could rarely walk the first few days of the cruise. I had tried packing Aleve for a couple weeks but stopped due to high blood pressure and edema. Trying acupuncture turned my pain around and it is more manageable. I can walk almost normally. I get up from a chair more easily and sleep much better. I am very thankful for all the help, encouragement and information I have received from a very caring acupuncturist. It made my cruise more enjoyable and I look forward to continuing acupuncture after return home.

This was my initial experience with acupuncture so I was skeptical concerning the efficacy of the treatment. The first treatment showed signs of improvement in the level of pain, I then decided to accelerate the treatment by taking two additional treatments/day over the next 3 days. Each day the decreased level of pain and improvement in mobility was experienced.

Would encourage anyone facing knee replacement to give it a try.

I came to acupuncture with many ailments. Just to mention a few: sciatica, arthritis, stress, anxiety, headaches. With so much to work with I did not expect miracles but I did notice I had more energy. One session I came in with a headache and when I left it was gone. I’ve also noticed that I can walk farther before the pain gets unbearable. For me that is a big plus. My anxiety seems to have improved also. I feel more at peace. I have made some internal changes so I am more comfortable than I was. I am so thankful for such a great experience.

I am a very stubborn person so it was completely against my reasons to try acupuncture as a cure or help for my ailments. After talks with both my wife and Martina, I finally relented and gave it a try. My first visit with Martina was a little wary. The only thing that I could think of was - I was in the house of pain. It surprised me that it was painless. I even reached the stage where I could nap during the process. My main problem was an achy lower back after short walks. Arthritis in my hands was almost unbearable at times. I am pleased to say that I am now walking further than before and my hands are almost back to normal. Martina, thank you very much. Acupuncture has made a big difference to my life. At the end of this cruise I will carry on with acupuncture treatments. Martina, thank you.

After attending one of her seminars, I decided to try acupuncture treatments for several of my ongoing ailments.

First and foremost was chronic sinus infection, to which there has been noticeable improvement after two treatments.

After five treatments plus herbs, I realize a marked improvement with regard to my arthritic condition along with my sinuses.

Dr. Martina is very personable, helpful, pleasant person to work with and I shall continue my treatments at home.

A big “Thank You” to a wonderful person.

My husband and I are in our 60’s and had never tried acupuncture before, though our regular physicians are very supportive of alternative methods of treating different conditions. The bottom line to my story is that I am glad we both tried it and I feel it was a successful experiment.

I have suffered 2 strokes and have had some neck pain and stiffness for the 10 years since my last stroke. Dr. Martina listened to me when I said I would like to stop taking some of my prescription drugs. I know there are negatives for taking so many drugs long term. Dr. Martina suggested 7 sessions of acupuncture along with massage and some of the Elemis topical products. I can honestly say I’ve noticed considerably less dizziness and less arthritic pain. During this sailing I injured my knee somehow and Dr. Martina immediately and aggressively began to treat this also.

We are convinced acupuncture is a help to us and will continue treatment at home.

If you try acupuncture, you must realize it is a process and not always an instant cure.

I am 67 years old and periodically suffer from gout which is a form of arthritis. First day on the ship I had a terrible flair up of the gout, my foot swelled up and I couldn’t even walk. I took several sessions of acupuncture and after 2 days my swelling decreased and on the third day I was walking with no pain.

Thank you Martina!
